That's Toshi's Soul Reaver. It's a 6 ft long zanbatou (lit "horse-slaying sword" - used to kill the horse and rider while you were riding in combat.) It lives in a 2" x 3" tattoo of the kanji for "Justice" on Toshi's right shoulder blade.
It has a much wider blade than an actual one (it's closer to Zabuza's sword... tho mine existed years before Naruto came out.) and hides a katana inside the zanbatou blade. The katana is the actual Soul Reaver, and the giant blade is actually it's sheath. But Toshi uses it in defencive attacks. The front blade (It's all chipped and shiz, but you can't see it on that page...) is used to cut physical material, like stone or wood, but it will not harm mortal flesh (Him does NOT fit in that category~)
Flipped over, the back blade is smooth and hollow ground (kind of like a skate... it has two slicing edges instead of just one, with what can be considered a blood groove running between them) - it cuts nothing but souls. She could run up to someone and chop them in half with the back blade and it wouldn't leave a mark... they'd still DIE... but you know... there'd be no medical evidence.
I should totally do a weapons tutorial. XD

I know! I recently became hooked on Bleach, and then I searched for it on dA. I saw that UC came up, and I was all "o.O", and now I understand all of the Ichigo jokes, including his study topic! *feels edumacated*
I also started myself on FMA. Lol.

Avoid the anime if you can. The manga series of FMA makes WAY more sense, and the fangirls aren't as rabid about it.

That big sword (there's a name for it that starts with a Z [...zamba?], but is too lazy to look it up) just reminds me of the big, stupid newb on the Lyoko team who let himself get possessed by the Schythezoa (is too lazy to look up the correct spelling of that, too) and turned into XANA's virtual humanoid second-in-command.
