Lol, okay, I've had my fun. Forgive me! I'm kind of giddy cause I havent slept. I'm DONE!
The Kiryu Twins form a band called "Sin". Like I said in my original line art ([link] ), I did this for the KiryuTwins FC spring contest, where one or both of the twins must be in a band.

I based the twins' style loosely off of the Korean band Big Bang, and made Zero the guitarist and Ichiru the vocalist, which is how I envisioned them if they were to actually form a band. (Hardest part was...just being patient with the coloring. Another good lesson about the importance of clean line art.) The background also took a really long time...I did this in about 8, 9 hours in PSE.
I had a lot of fun with this- I hope you guys like it as much as I did drawing it! Again, fav/comment/watch/respectfully critique if you want!

Yes, ohmigosh...starting off w/ clean line art saves you SO MUCH TIME I've found. I learnt my lesson from "shards of me". I literally spent hours and hours cleaning up that line art just because it was so messy and it was wrecking the entire look of the picture. Digital art is just a totally different creature than traditional, isn't it?

Ooh yes, digital painting is a totally a different case, though as for me digital is much more easier. Mainly 'cause I do traditional works mostly with pen and ink, so once done I can't change anything later on. Digital makes it much easier to draw and later change such b&w, and I often do this stupid mistake of drawing too big head compared to body so end up rechanging it many times, until I'm fully satisfited with the pic x3 Though as for colored traditional, it covers pencil nicely and it's true you don't need to change the lineart - you make it better with colours of paint or crayons. So here digital works totally opposite and not that well, yes D: People learn on their mistakes after all, though it's a really tiring method in the end XDD I'll try to work on my traditional drawing skills this summer, though I find digital better :3 How about you, which one you prefer?
Btw, have you seen new chapter of VK already? It was half good, but I'm dissapointed anyway, totally not what I imagined to see ;w; (read: finally some true Zeki scene or more action XDD;; )

lol, i havent read the new chapter of VK yet! i'm saving up for a day when I can just sit and read a bunch of chapters. Lately, I'm finding vk a little slow. I kind of want to see the relationships progress more too!! lol! ACTION! ROMANCE! and although i really like her, no more yuki angst! lol

Ooh that's a really good idea, to wait and read more chapters at once! o.o How much I love VK and will stay faithful to this series, it's also killing me how it goes currently, deffinitely it's not what it used to be =_= But with Kaname disappearing and Yuuki at hunters it mught turn out better and get some speed eventualy. Hopefuly >w
So you're into traditional more, see ^^ Experimenting with it true is fun, but still requires a lot of patience and free time. I'm not much of a patient person so not having "control+z" with me and speed CG painting makes it too hard 8D;; That's why I admire you for how you feel about and make traditional art, it's something that needs talent and love in order to creat it
Haha you've same as me then, about colors. They're something way harder to master then linearts, eats most of energy and time but working on them sure will be worth it ^^

Oh! Why would you think I wouldnt like your work? I really like it! My favorite so far is "Fujibato-warmth". It's lovely! I love the colors and the feeling! I also really like chibi style, so your VK parody (ch.68? I think?) was really cute too!
lol, that would be very cool to do a collab! Sasu and I are trying to do one...it's probably going to be my last project before I dissapear for a bit. I really love drawing and the ppl here on DA, so I know I'll be back, but I'm just in the middle of job searching, going back to do a masters, and travelling. Wish you the best of luck in your finals! I'm sure you'll do great and land a great uni!

Thanks!! For me colouring is the worst part too, out of the 15 hours for my entry, only one was for my lineart, and then the rest was used fir colouring! Your entry will also surely go really far, it's really awesome, the idea and drawing!
