When I created Sailor Mars ( Cornélio) I had no idea about how he was going to be....he just jumped in front of Voltimand ( Sailor Venus) like a furious Sitting Bull and beated him very hard to stop boring Léo with his yaoi fantasies.He's just like this: a Native American with short temper ,few words, and a big heart.
His realtionship with Rei is neutral-good and both of them know how to get hard on a fight, so the youmas never last for many time against them. The power that they have togheter is the Fire Dance!
A big burning circle with so high flames that only them stand the temperatue,and dance together!

I never expected to see this variation on Sailor Mars - and I am three-quarter Eastern Band Cherokee and Crow Nation mixed blood.
Still, this makes for some interesting fan fiction story, and I would like to see someone do a backstory of this picture as a fan fiction, if that's not too much trouble.

Actually he's a character from my fanfiction "Sailor Sun"....in my story the Martian Confederation (Mars,Phobos,Deimos,Eris,Dysnomia,Quaoar,Weywot) is almost all Native American...unless the 2 moons Phobos and Deimos and Eris and her moon Dysnomia that are Japanese (Rei is from Phobos).
I'm glad you felt inspired by my Solar Sailor Mars and if you'll write some story about the Martian Prince or a friend of yours as well,I have some info about him that I believe you 2 would like to know :
Cornélio is a Sioux Prince that was chosed on a Martian Sacred Ritual by the Elder Shaman Red Fox; all the sailor senshi in my fanfic are choosed by the Gods in the Oracles, and for Cornélio it wasn't different even if he is the Great Chief Bison's oldest
son
Although his shy personality that made some other Martian Tribes doubt about his competence as the future Great Chief, Cornélio showed to be a great warrior since childhood but specially after the Sacred Choosing ( age of 12) when in the Mars Initiation Ritual he had to knock off a fire bison by himself and HE DID IT!! After this none Martian Tribe doubted about him and he started to work aside the Solar Imperial Prince Sailor Sun often as he is his fire-beater XD in this artwork he's 16 ald is already working aside Sailor Sun.
