Stormy night ahead, not an unusual event but one that can be scary but sometimes also beautiful; With the sun and the golden clouds light rays spread across the sky, you could almost wish you were there!---
A 29 hour render, never had a render that long before ever
One of my first renders with terragen, rendering size was 2560*1920

the clouds look a bit weird, as if someone spilt milk on the sky or something hehe i love the rest though; the light streaks in the back and the water surface look sweet

wow, thought it was a photo at first. As Hayter said, the planet/moon in the background is way too transparent.

This one made me pull down the shades to see all the details. I love how the wave texture stays in focus all the way from the beginning all the way up to the sunlight. also the Rays are superbely rendered, and they keep the angles over the cloud. Love the colouring under the cloud, perfect with the water. The one thing I don't fully agree with is the moon, but it's only slightly visible, so I guess it's ok. Nice job, totally worth the 29 hours if you ask me.

This image's strongest section is the sunlight streaming through the clouds and the forefront of the sea - I'd say you got the parameters more or less perfect for this image sea-wise. The clouds don't look that great however. I'd say it was simply a rendering problem but given the time it took you to render this, I'm guessing you had all the bars cranked up to the max so I don't know how to solve it.
Further away in the sea, there are odd dark patches which I attributed to lighting problems but on second thought I think your land mass is uneven and the water is shallower in these places. A quick flattening should do the trick.
I like the suggestion of a visible planet in the top corner a la Pitch Black though you could perhaps experiment with making it more pronounced.
It's a nice pic though and a good example of what Terragen's capable of. Thirty hours is longer than I'd wait though - your patience far outstrips my own.

I absolutely love this render. The reflection on the water is amazing as are the sun's rays. The amount of time you put into this really shows. Great job and keep up the good work. Check out my works when you can

Thats Terragen generated? Wow. The clouds are fantastic. Having experience with 3D modeling and rendering myself, I have to give a thumbs up on this one. Really good.

Lovely. Every thing in it looks so realistic. The only thing i would have to say about is the clouds; the lines in them sem a bit 'hard', especially on the part just below the sun, and to the left of that where it's slightly darker. I'm not really a digi-artist of any sorts, so i'm not sure about what tools you have in the program you used to create this, but perhaps just going over the lines where it gets darker with some sort of 'blurring' tool to make them fade out a bit and seem less obvious. Other than that, well done, and keep up the good work.
