This is my classic cartoon makeover.Do you remember Rainbow Brite? She is Care Bears' counterpart (just kidding)! ^ ^ All I remember this girl was I'm eating a fruit-flavored gelatin (in the Philippines we called it JellyAceβ’) and at the top of the cover there she is and sometimes other character as well.... lol
But hey I never forgot watching this show and this is one of the cutest cartoon I've ever seen in the 80's (before the Powerpuff Girls) for me. And I never forgot to draw her before, but I didn't remember at what age. I think about 8-9 or something.... ^ ^;;
Anyway, enjoy the art. Maybe I add some other characters as well, even the Sprites.

Rainbow Brite was one of my favorite 80s characters as well.Β She was adorable, smart, brave, optimistic, and caring too...Something we could all use at this day and age!

Sure I remember the Original Rainbow BriteΒ ! Wisp (as her real name) was very cute then as a kidΒ . And later she became a tween in the reboot in 2009. She literally grown up after that magic "that stopped her actual growth'' have wore off. Those were days.Β Excellent job on her.Β

Rainbow Brite is awesomesauce! I just bought the complete DVD boxset, it's so great to relive these amazing childhood memories.
Thanx to me big sis, without whom I'd probably have been made to watch more typically "boys" cartoons in my childhood (the ones made especially for boys weren't quite as fun, I remember...)

Wow this was awesome eye candy. I loved Rainbow Brite growing up and all to true about the counter Care Bear. Though I still think Rainbow kicks Care Bear ass. lol I used to own the movie and remember watching it as a little chicka, it's kinda strange really cant remember to many child hood memories, but this one has never faded and I still get goose bumps looking at Rainbow Brite Merchandise and doodads.
