So~first the whole 55 thing is just because the festival is on May 5 of Lunar calendar. Actually I didn't quite remember how I went through this idea. I suppose I just didn't want an ordinary dragon boat pokemon, I didn't want it to be used for carrying people or the real dragon boat competition. So I looked for other elements, then the plants, the Mugwort caught my eye. I designed it to be a herbal bath pool shaped like a dragon boat. Plus it's funny that I have enough reasons to make a dragon-like pokemon which is not a dragon type. Finally, if you're curious about the red square shape, it's supposed to look like Realgar wine, which can also be used as a kinda medicine.
