[Γ©dit] 02 02 2010/I was bored with that pic, it was one of the worst coloring I had ever done; and absolutly NO COLORING RULES were applied. GEEZ.
I then came back on it, decided to put Powergirl in the shadow; and playing with and powerfull light that would only affect the edge of the character.
It's very different from the first version... oh, yeah I still have to work back on the people behind; and clean one things or two, but actually I just wanted to know how you feel THAT actual version ?
Sorry for those who liked the 1st better, but it really suc***

Heh finally it came faster than I thought !
not that bad; maybe a bit overloaded; and I don't feel the impact of the truck that much, but that point is for the drawing step , not the coloring one.
I'm not too used to draw women breaking a truck in fact
the white outline, out of Power Girl also tend to break that feeling; but it's better in graphic POV.
so...I had to made a choice
I've done some kind of montage sample on my blog for that cover (and some others)

It does look better with all the elements of publishing
but maybe it's because it's all about fantasy about my dreams coming true

she looks very very cool... but i do agree with u that the feeling of being hit by a truck is not that strong because of the line XD but still its a beautiful work of yours

The crashed truck doesn't look bad. If you wanted to re-do it, you'd just have to find a good reference piece. Maybe a still frame from a movie where there's a crash.
Or you could try and find a pic of a truck rapped around a telephone pole. Then substitute in Power Girl for the pole.
Any thoughts on your next great project? I'll keep my fingers crossed for another DC girl

hum, not that bad idea, about the "truck rapped around a telephone pole".
I googled a lot of stuff before to find an appropriate pic, but never found it.
I have to say that doing the truck again would means cutting the rest and starting over ... that's basically a lot of work; so that's not for now , but I know I would have to take care of that pic sooner
hum next pic,I dunno, As I remember -i'm not at home for a short period- I have a lois and a zatanna (to be original ) pieces finished at the inking step; so I need to put colors on them...
I thinking about doing some other video game characters too, like some of guilty gear for example,but not for now too, i'm waiting for "inspiration"

Power Girl looks very sexy, especially with the addition of a few freckles around her eyes and on her...uh-hrrm..chest. If this was the cover art for the new Power Girl #1 by Amanda Conner, I'd buy it in an instant, DC really needs to start buying your fantastic work.

Hum, I think we will never have that serie in france, so I don't know what It sound, but I know that team generally do great/fun stuff.
I loved the "powergirl classified" from infinite crisis; written by Johns; that was fun a lot.
then in JSA... she lost all the fun... and it's still written by Johns... weird.

as much as i like you(and you know i mean from a artistically POV, quit that idea of two men doing-you-know-what joke), i have to say that truck sucks and it totally ruins the image. I could barely read the scene as power girl crashing a truck with her back, even when i dodged centering myself into the powerboobs. i'd asume that mechanical elements are truly your weak point, and for that reason i do notice that either you did not use a reference or you simply didn't want to put much effort on it. the way a truck's front would react upon crashing againt a pillar such as the power girl's body is completely diferent(it would literally cut the front in two, the same way water would react). in your picture is more like it crashed agaisnt a wall. dunno id i was clear enought, i can look for pictures or videos to make it more clear.
and for a comic relief at the end of the comment, you and me know that "overloaded" fits perfectly power girl.

I did use reference; but of a "normal" truck, not a crashed one, didn't found something who could suit :/
Otherwise, you're right, But I've already said I'm not too OK with the impact too in the description.
It's not a question of putting effort on it or not; I've spent a lot of time on it, but I never found the right stuff to do with that.
I do know how it would react , and what kind of shape it would have; but I don't find how to draw that, and keep the truck looking like one
Now If I found how too change that one day, sure i'll do !
