Grandpa Theobald would certainly approve of this rendering of one of his Dreamquest creatures. One of the best Lovecraftian illustrations I have seen in a long time!

I find it extremely strange that though it was intended to be horrible, I find it very... cute. Then again, this is the girl who has a love for the eyes of a gecko or a frog. XD
There's something very natural about the way it was shaped, and it has a very curious gaze. The way the muscles and skin stretch is well done, and the semi-transparency of its skin was well done.
My only complaint is how blurry the it gets the lower you go, but I rather like the feet as well. X3

I love this, the texture, lighting and the whole realism is in a nice juxtaposition to the weird unworlding feel of the creature's design. Much different from my design except we both kind of went a kangaroo route. I really should revisit my designs and do a better job on them since my skills have gotten better since then.
