Just like the show's attempt with having Scott read books in episode 1 and learn some more new words did not succeed in make us think that he got any smarter.

Yeah that was kind of odd as well, just like they seemed to have forgotten that he killed Laura. Sure the Beacon Hillers never met her, but shouldn't Derek and Cora be more angry with him?

With another problems on the way (alfa pack, the crazy druid b*tch) is Peter part of problem solution. When the problems are gone - Peter can become a problem itself.

Yep and his last scene was a massive overacting. That seems to be a staple with the villains now.
