it's middayand i shiver in
the heat of the moment
i have no idea where
i'm supposed to rest my head
i dread the night
where you come to life
in my empty mind
and i do not have
the strength to runaway
beneath the sun
people assure me that
everything will be okay
but they do not know
the monster i adore awaits me
i spend my time preparing
my strength for my nightly battle
to my sweet grave
every night i die
and the skies are decked with diamonds
