Ah, Thom is simply brilliant. I must say all the hair looks perfect, his eyebrows, his beard and of course his hair, 100% Thom hehe. Perhaps his eyes are bit small, I mean, one could have been smaller, but although well managed, they seem a bit small to me.
His ears and nose are lovely hehe, but there's something I don't like about his lips, I mean, I think I wouldn't doubt a minute to say this picture is genius, but, his lips... I can't catch what, but something really bothers me about them.
Anyway, this is definitely my favorite of your 3 portraits, the coloring as well as the pose and eyebrow expression is brilliant. Kudos!

Wow, that was a long time ago... I remember looking at this and bookmarking it for a later comment, but then college ate my time and until now, I was finally able to look again for some new art involving Thom and found your deviation again heh.
Anyway, I still think you did an outstanding work with his hair, I simply love it.

The artist always sees the imperfections. Sometimes those imperfections are what make it work. Although I must say the lips could've been less saturated or something, too contrasting?

I'm always glad to find another person who radiohead's music agrees with. the sketchy guitar and mic were actually not my idea, I showed my older brother (absolutely fantastic artist) a work in progress and he said he liked it the way it was. so I submitted it to da and if it was recieved well, I said I'd keep it. so here it is heh

Im obsessed with radiohead. It is the only musical band of this generation i can really appreciate. But thats not the only reason i fav this. Thoms face is really recognisable and the colorwork is superb.

I think while drawing this, I came to understand some important things about coloring. thanks though, I'm also obsessed with radiohead. they're so unique, and one of the best qualities about them is they're one of the only bands I know of (besides the beatles and coldplay) who's lyrics can actually make me get into the music more than the music itself. "and true love lives, on lollipops and crisps" oh man... they're amazing.

Haha, i have an interesting lil something of what Thom said of that line. 'According to Thom, the line "On lollipops and crisps" is from an article he read: "I read an article about a child who was between 5-8 yrs old who was left on his/her own for a week in a house when his parents left on hoilday and he lived on lollipops on crisps. True"'
I agree with you said about Radiohead lyricwise. Some of the lyrics are almost poems (Sail to the moon, pyramid song) But what i find so amazing of them is they use the proper instruments and style for each song. Especially in Kid A where Thom's lyrics are pushed to the background its amazing what they can achieve with electronica and still keep it rock. Love them!
