Backstory: Chosen as his village's yearly sacrifice for a bountiful harvest, Jeremy Witter was cast into the land of Mareth at the age of 15, left alone and afraid within the corrupted lands. Initially winding up a thrall of the demon Akbal, Jeremy eventually chanced upon a meeting with the Kitsune of the Deepwoods, shedding his identity as a human in order to become a yokai himself. With his transformation came newfound confidence, the once fearful boy now possessed of power he could have only dreamed of once before. Voraciously scouring the land for more magics to bolster his might, the boy has come across a myriad of companions in his journey, intent upon creating a network of allies he can trust in the darkest of times.

Writer's Notes: As opposed to my other characters who represent aspects I find positive, Momiji is based largely on negative aspects of myself. Momiji is shamelessly hedonistic and boastful of his power and beauty; yet, there is also an ever-present fear of reprisal from his former master for his departure as well as the demonic ruler of Mareth, Lethice, if he becomes too well-renowned. As a result, despite boasting of his newfound strength, Momiji's life is largely ruled by fear, with the young man spending much of his time slinking about in illusory disguises, attempting to remain under the radar for as long as he is able. But despite him being based on my own shortcomings, I do believe that Momiji has room to grow into a person of stronger character, even if the path ahead of him is long and daunting.
