Description
So I sort of fell in love with Decidueye. Coolest freakin' Pokemon ever. It may as well be my favorite Pokemon, out of every single one. Badass Grass/Ghost type owl archer thing? Yes please.

So here's a little fan art. And man, it was a journey. I nearly gave up in the sketching phase. I was having a really hard time getting the pose and lines of action right. But I figured it out-- The key was using a big ol' triangle and dividing it up. That pretty much set the foundation for the entire pose and I think it turned out really well because of that. I tried so many new techniques in this picture, so it was a great learning experience. I especially had fun playing around with the colors.

And of course I make the silly mistake of not even thinking about the background until after I pretty much finished the character. So, backgrounds are obviously not my strong point. I have much more fun just drawing characters, so I get lost in that and the background is often an afterthought. I wanna change that and get good at proper backgrounds, perspective and all. Soon™.

Well, that's my little anecdote about this piece... Anyways, enjoy, and please let me know what you think!
