Tae is an outspoken guy who is outwardly hyper, assertive, and likes to bother get along with everyone. There is no such thing as physical barriers, so don't freak out when he latches onto you or ... something. He is quite vain and spends a lot of time trying to make himself presentable. So PLEASE, PLEEEASE don't insult his appearance. Because if you do he'll turns into a passive-aggressive, sassy fishbread. Otherwise, it will be pretty hard to get him mad. He'll just take everything as a joke or a way of flirting with him. Yeah. He's pretty into himself.

At the other end of the spectrum, he's distanced himself from everyone by putting up with a childish air-headed appearance. His past has lead him down a dark path that he would rather keep from the public. He can be quite possessive too, which may lead to aggressive behavior...

Background:
Tae was born with Chromatism, but his family members never saw him exhibit any special powers. Instead, they often sent him to the hospital because of his sporadic temperature changes (he couldn't control his powers yet). They always thought he was a weak child, susceptible to very high fevers and radical temperature changes. Even so, his parents and older sister always visited and took every opportunity to bring him home. Seeing as his "health conditions" weren't improving the doctors decided to use stronger medication and some were given at higher doses. It was then that Tae really did become sick. Several times he has overdosed on medication.

When the experimental phase of Chromatism spread Tae began to be put through experiments under the guise of more medical treatment. In the beginning the tests were tame, but because they were not going anywhere the tests became more dangerous. Tae's family eventually caught on that he was being abused, even though they didn't know what was going on. They tried to withdraw Tae from the "hospital", but the resarchers wouldn't let him go and even resorted to violence.

Sick of the inhumane experiments (in addition the social stigma Tae inflicted upon his family due to his Colored identity), and the lack of power they had to retaliate against the authorities/researchers/society, his family decided to move to somewhere new.

At this point, Tae was only 11 years old. He was aware that it was his fault that his family had to move to somewhere new, and he was also aware of the social stigma he inflicts onto his family just by association. The day they were at the airport Tae ran away from his family in order to free them from the burden that he was.

During the few years that Tae lived on his own he was basically homeless. But the freedom of being homeless allowed him to develop and understand his powers. He also realized that he had developed a dependency on several medications since his childhood. Due to withdrawal symptoms he burgled pharmacies, hospitals, and retirement homes for pills and drugs. Eventually he used his powers to burgle money and items to pawn for buying drugs off street dealers. During those times he got into street drugs and alcoholism. On one burglary job he messed up and accidentally killed someone with his power.

He turned himself in and was immediately transferred to a prison research facility once again. His Colored cell mates told him about Chromatica, and the three of them dreamed to escape and find a new life there. Tae was able to escape due to a riot within the facility. His cell mates escaped as well and they ran in separate directions to increase the chances of escape.

Tae finally reached Chromatica, but he was unable to start a new life. He was still held down by his addictions. Normal jobs couldn't support his lifestyle, so he thought to be a bounty hunter. He found that his powers were only helpful in cases of "dead or alive" captures, in which case they usually were captured "dead". So he opted in the higher paying job of being a freelance assassin. He only joined the mafia because of turf reasons that prevented him from his freelance jobs, because his activities usually crossed with mafia interests. Rather than competing with them he decided to join them. It took a lot of convincing, because he honestly looked like a homeless kid with a drug problem. Which is true, but he managed to prove his addiction won't affect his work by competing with another member to get to a hit. The jobs he got in the beginning were only inane tasks to test his worth. It was a long while before the mafia accepted him as an asset (sort of).

Once Tae joined the mafia he wanted to restart his life and live with a new persona. A happier one. The jobs paid well enough for Tae to be able to afford food, shelter, and some things not so necessary for survival. He is still not entire weaned of his addictions, but they are a kind of godsend (he tries to hide it from superiors). He is highly dependent on drugs and alcohol to get him through life and allow him to sleep peacefully. After all, Tae was a good kid from a loving family. Killing was never meant to be in his blood.

Tae's role in his faction is to take on assassinations or information acquirement with his specialization on avoiding heat sensors, and destroying things (usually melting through metal, sometimes quickly taking care of assassinations). Tae's small stature and childish demeanor also works in his favor to slip into places with less security to carry out an assassination (e.g. infiltration/espionage).

Outside of the mafia job he is unemployed and spends his time frivolously. Usually shopping and keeping up with fashion trends and such.

Powers:

Internal Temperature Regulation - Tae is able to control his internal temperature and even control which part of his body's temperature is being changed. His body heat can rise high enough to melt metal, and low enough to liquify certain gaseous compounds when used externally. His power can only affect things via physical contact. (e.g. His body temperature could be below freezing, but it won't affect his surroundings unless his flesh touches it) Unfortunately, to use his power again he must wait for his body temperature to return to equilibrium naturally (he speeds up this process by stripping if necessary). Also, getting a cut/wound when his body is at a very high temperature can be fatal, as his body is so hot that his blood evaporates into the air faster than it bleeds.

Regeneration (sub) - Not really healing, rather, if he gets a cut/wound the skin will heal over given some time. However, the internal injury/flesh/muscle won't be healed and the healed surface can tear easily. This is just a bodily response to lessen the mortality rate of boiling his blood away.

Other information:
Has a penchant for stray animals.
A tendency to bring stray animals home. (Even though it puts a strain on his income.)
Tendency to either be evicted from his apartment (but they for some reason keep letting him go back) or arrested for hoarding animals.

On a more serious note, he really hates sterile environments (just the smell of them makes him nauseous). It reminds him of the times spent in the hospital and research facilities.
