Description Just practising some changes in my style, what do you think?

I really felt like painting Cullen today, I've been having a pretty crappy week and he is very relaxing to draw Title is fail, but I need some strength in my life and running/riding out in the fresh air and sunshine makes me (and Cullen) feel stronger

This is awesome he looks really crisp and clear against the background and your style is becoming more and more defined. I love the perspective and the grass, the fact that you havn't used a brush just adds to the style

Well done Gigi! Keep it up!!!

I love you gigi!!

Thanks BenBen!! I've always been kind of afraid to use brushes on full hardness, but I did with this one, so I'm glad you think he looks more crisp!! I was tired of blurry outlines
Aaaaaand perspective!! Glad you noticed!!

I love you too! Just gonna have a quick shower before you call me

Not bad. You can definitely see a difference in style, especially in the hair (for me). The pose is surprising. You get so used to seeing the legs being positioned for walking and trotting that a good cantering image throws you off track at first, seeing that both legs that are touching ground are on the same side of the body. You did the fur differently as well, indicated more the natural direction of it rather and gave a little bit more effort to the appearance of there actually being fur. Very nice.

The older style for hair is obviously more practiced, and the softening of the background gives it a more natural painted look, but it all seems to come together pretty well.

Thanks!! It's so refreshing to get a comment like that!! I'm glad you noticed the difference in hair, and also the coat. I wanted to make him seem..hairier I can't decide if I prefer my old way of doing manes and tails, it seemed more realistic but I like the flow of this way better. I think if I painted a close up, he would definately have more fur detail. This was more of a suggestion, and also I don't think I'm ready for hyper realism!! Heading that way eventually though!

Thanks for the input!!
