A long abandoned artwork which i have finally managed to finish. I saw this particular screenshot from the Superman Returns blog #17. It showed Superman floating in the space, looking down at the earth. Basically the same idea like mine with different perspective.The costume has been updated to the recent Superman Returns version. I read somewhere on the internet that there is no "S" on the cape, so i didn't include it here.
Notice that the city background is similar to the one in "Soars" artwork, only this time i flipped it from left to right. It is also a 'reverse' version to the "Soars" artwork. Where as "Soars" depicts Chris Reeve's Superman "leaving the earth", this one is showing a new Superman descending from the sky. Kind of poetic huh?

So,you`re the one who did this Fan-Art poster!I remember seeing this on The Internet back in 2006 around the same time Superman Returns came out and I could never find out who did it or where it originally came from.Bryan Singer,Warner Brothers and DC should have used this poster of yours as one of the official posters for Superman Returns-it`s actually better than most of the official Superman Returns posters that the movie had! Most people know that flight is one of Superman`s incredible Super-Powers and abillites.But he can also just hover,too-if he wants to.
I always loved how in this artwork,because high up in the sky,a hovering Superman has one foot out in front of the other,it looks like Superman is walking on air and staring out at the city beneath him and the world around him.This Superman Retruns artwork of yours is one of the best Superman pictures,unofficial or official,out there!
I agree with a ginoroberto,a member of deviantart-who pages back and years ago,who said that this picture looked just like a part of the film.Yes,it does.It`s very majestic,looks amazingly realistic and it`s beautiful artwork! I really do believe that it was the loss of the makers of Superman Returns not using your Superman Returns Fan-Art in some way,some shape or some form. Keep up the amazing work!

regarding other artists, especially those with thousand or even millions pageviews, i can understand why they couldn't respond to every comments because it would be very time-consuming, not to mention sometimes they didn't even aware of them because they were 'lost' between so many pages.

Really, why not? I was definitely suprised at some parts, like how superman now has a son, but the special effects and story line in my opinoin was very well indeed. I hope that they make a sequel.

it just left me with empty feeling, maybe because it was my high expectation.
one thing that i really didn't like is the kid being Superman's. I just can't see how they are going to develop another sequels with the kid in it. There might not even be a sequel, judging from the not so spectacular box office performance of the movie... but well, let's hope we'll get another one

Pah. Royo's a great artist, but his stuff gets a little tedious and boring. Yours has a fresh feel to it, and frankly, I never like DC chars (except when Superman came back from the dead sporting a fancy black suit with a silver shield, silver toes and long hair, that was awesome). I'm more a Marvel fan, but your stuff is amazing. Feels like the covers of the Kingdom Come books, which were very good renderings to start with. Though yours has a little less of a cartoony feel to it.
