My favorite Disney villain couple. Favorite Disney villians too. In both the Lion king I & II, my fav. songs were "Be prepared" and "Zira's Lullaby"

Ah, yes...Scar and Zira. Two of Disney's more chilling villains (especially those of you who are familiar with the facist allusions in Scar's "Be Prepared" song, or the original concept for Zira's death). For all the familiarity they apparently had with each other, it's not often we see them together as adults. This pic changes that.
First, let me compliment you on your depiction of emotion--from the quiet menace on Scar's countenance to the knowing, wicked smile that adorns Zira's features, you've captured their respective personalities perfectly. It's no mean feat to make an original pose in fanart that accomplishes thus.
Second, your nigh-perfect reenactment of Disney's art style for "the Lion King" is worth mentioning. Sure, having frames from the movie to use as a guideline tends to help one in this task, but to put pencil to paper and actually pull it off is still no mean feat. One might be forgiven for mistaking this for an actual screenshot from one of the movies, such is its faithfulness to artistic form.
Third, your use of color and shading heightens the effect--from the distinct shadows that wreathe the faces of Scar and Zira, to the dark red backdrop against which they're portrayed, this picture just SCREAMS an ominous atmosphere. It matches the personalities of these two felines perfectly.
Scar and Zira deserve a proper depiction, and you've accomplished that nicely. Well done, Isis.
