A fan is someone who enjoys a fandom. Fans often make art of the series they like, they talk about it, they sometimes write fiction of it... they share it with others and try to promote the series as best they can.A fan-tard is someone who OBSESSES over a fandom. Fan-tards try to shove their fandom down your throat. They obsess over the fandom until normal fans lose interest, just to get away from the repetitive droning of the fan-tards.

This is what I think when I see comments from Juliet Simms fantards.
Example: "OMG! JuLiET iZ QwEeN!! F*cK TeH hAtErS!"
And i have differents for disliking Juliet Simms that have nothing to do with her boyfriend, Andy Biersack. I can't stand her because: 1. She CANNOT SING!! No matter what you say fantards, she can't carry a tune.
2. The video for her song "End of the World" made NO SENSE!
3. She is unoriginal. Enough said.
4. She (as well as some of her fans) is rude.
As you can see, I judge Juliet based on her career rather than her relationship HOWEVER, how you present yourself reflects how others see you and there are people who have had experiences meeting Juliet and saw her rude side.

Agreed! Fantards really are annoying close-minded twats that can't shut the hell up about other people's or their own beliefs and make a huge stink over it. I don't pay attention to them (I'm neutral) , but alot of them just love to hound others, especially the super popular ones who actually draw decently yet are ginormic trolls .
You know, you should really add Happy Tree Friends to the top of that list since they are the worst fandom I know. All the people cry about the pairings and Sues, yet if you look through most of those fantards' gallery, not one image shows any of the characters dying, let alone are well drawn (the whole point of the show is to see cute cuddly forest animals die grisly gruesome deaths)

Favoriting this stamp. But I'm also surprised to see that One Piece isn't on the list. There's a large number of fantards who jump on anyone and everyone who doesn't like and/or care for their beloved series.

I left Twilight because of the fantards. I don't care how others bash it (yes it had it's bad points, but every story does, there were some good parts too TEAM ALICE!!!) but it was the Fantards yelling things like "IF YOU'RE A TEAM JACOB I'M GONNA FLIPPIN' KILL YOU!" that turned me off it.
Really guys, (I speak to fantards everywhere) whatever paring you support, violence (even imaginary violence) is not the answer. And insulting the person who came up with the ship... DON'T GET ME STARTED.

Fangirling (or Fanboying) or just being a Fan is okay. I love it, it's fun, and it's fun when other appreciate it to, and POLITELY recommend things they like, but THROAT-SHOVING of any kind is not cool. This goes for anything, really. If you want somone to like it, explain why it's awesome, what you love about it, and why you think they would like it. Calmer is better. Throat-shoving only turns people away, and if it's THAT GOOD, you don't want to do that.

Fandoms would be much more approachable if it didn't contain so many fantards who believe that their opinion is the only valid one.
Especially the Star Wars fantards. Those guys are obnoxious, close-minded, short-sighted, mean, insulting, and just won't STFU!

The subject of romantic pairings in some fandoms often turns places like YouTube.com, fanfiction.net, and DeviantArt.com into war zones. I generally don't mind other people's preferences. I may not share them, but to each their own. I myself like canon, semi-canon, and some fanon pairings. However, I do have a few pet peeves:
The shipping wars really need to stop. I understand that people like/dislike different characters/pairings. Plus, the larger a fanbase is, the greater the variety of opinions. But some fanbrats take it way too far... I've noticed a ton of bashing and hate art against characters just because they "get in the way" of certain pairings. Then they spam various sites by shoving their own fav. ship down everyone else's throat.
Example: "LIKE OMG! NARUSASU 4EVA! SAKURA AND HINATA CAN GO SUCK D#CK!!!!!!!!"
Personal attacks are by far the most annoying part of any fanbase. Again, the fanbrats need to knock it off. Criticism/sharing different opinions is one thing, but insults/bashing is another ballgame. It's bad enough they're shoving their opinions down everyone's throat, but what's worse is that some of them insult anyone who doesn't agree with them. Then some troll comes along and deliberately makes inflammatory remarks for kicks, and a huge flame war results.

Zutara fan: Zutara ROX!!
Kataang fan: Kataang FOREVER!!!
Troll: Kataang is 4 FAGS!!!!!!
Kataang fan: OMG, how dare you! Zutarians are stupid lyke have no lyfe!
Troll 2: Your all stupid dumb m0r0ns if you lyke pairings at all!
Zutara fan: No way! I like Zutara and if u don't, den u hate us ALL!

I'm a fan of Twilight,Harry Potter,Naruto etc but I'm not an over obsessed freak to where all I do is read the books or watch the shows/movies every single day :/ The Twilight fans are actually what ruined Twilight and made so many people despise it,which I think is silly. How can anyone hate a show or movie so much? I do write fanfiction though...does that make me obsessed? It's just a hobby because I like writing...

What you said about Twilight fans? That's exactly my view. My view of it is that I've never read Twilight, so I have no reason to hate it yet. Furthermore, I don't hate Twilight fans. I do, however, hate Twi-tards.
Fanfic writing doesn't make you a Twi-Tard. You become one if you actively get pissed and/or freak out because someone dislikes your pairing, or if they dislike it in general. Basically, don't become so obsessed that you'll get actively angry at people for disagreeing. ^^
