Sounds great. I'd love to be able to sing one day, but I play bass for the time being. My channel is www.youtube.com/electric2000. More videos are coming, I haven't uploaded any music videos in a while now. I will probably have to re-do the ones I have because the video and sound are out of sync and I have a much better camera. I'll make sure to send them once things get rolling.

I do ALL (you'll see why I put that in caps) of the vocals, and guitar 2. I say guitar 2 and not rhythm because we switched leads, although I did none of the soloing. I did all of the song writing. The sound quality isn't the best, we didn't have the greatest equipment. We did the best we could with what we had.

There are quite a few bassists around here, but yes drummers are not so common. I only wish we could get some people who actually wanted to jam regularly, people are kind of lazy and won't stick to the routine, and I've met some really good players to, its unfortunate. But hey, when all else fails, I still got the drums.

Really? You must live in a mythical land to have many bassists around! It's so hard to find a loyal band. I had a loyal drummer back in NY (I keep telling him to move to VA, where I live now) and my boyfriend's a bassist. I play a bit of the guitar but I'm not good enough. Once I'm done with school perhaps I'll work hard to get good at guitar so that'll be one less person to have to worry about!

Hey, I've been busy all week and when I get home I pretty much crash out. My bass is at a friend's house so I didn't record any covers or techniques. I hope to do it soon. It is a mythical land where I live, but in my town we have 4 music shops on the same street, and I've met a lot of people who play guitar and bass, I don't know how many drummers are around here though. As far as playing goes, the sky's the limit. I can only make my own grooves when I feel good, but when I am bored or low energy I can't write even the simplest rhythm, how silly. I know how to play probably about 50+ songs which I learned by ear, and I learn new techniques all the time, but keep on trying to write your own music, if you do any one thing the most, try writing your own rhythms and don't worry too much if it sounds like someone or something else, that's just the influence showing. I would also love to sing and play, but I need to work on my voice to.

It is nice to have time for creativity. I don't sing very well, I only practice finding and holing notes, but I would like to strengthen my voice someday soon.

I find a few helpful hints are useful: always sing with your diaphragm. This includes growling or screaming. Don't smoke, although short term it will deactivate those hairs in your throat that pull up the phlegm, long term it will damage your voice considerably. Finally, focus on vowels, not consonants.

Thanks, I'll do those things. I smoked for about a year, but that was about 4 years ago now. I quit pretty easily and will not be doing it again. I wish I had a mic lol.

Yeah mics are great but if you aren't performing anywhere you don't really need one yet, your computer should be able to pick up your voice for your covers
