Description So I wanted to make a female Qunari in an awesome medieval setting, but I never got around to finishing the image. I've been on a break from Poser for a while and I doubt I'll go back to working on this.

*SnowSultan

He helped me with the skin, so a lot of thanks goes out to him!

As Sten would say:

''Women are priests, artisans, shopkeepers or farmers. They don't fight.''

Anyway, awesome image.

As for the old vs new appearance for the Elves, I have to admit I do prefer their DA2 look, in DA they were just shorter humans, not unique.

Cool weapon! It is a very nice character and I am sure this will be a great image if you just give it a try.

Awwww I missed the hornless type, even though I kinda like the horned one, but DA2 should have brought the hornless types there too.

In the qun it is said that hornless qunari are rare and both praised and feared for a strange natural prowess in battle, plus the saarebas have their horns cut off to show that they are dangerous

True that But still, for some DAO - fan like me, they should at least brought with one emissary at least

I feel about the same on the issue! You know what I miss more, though? The old appearance of the elves. It wasn't fantastic by any means, but it was definitely better than the mutants they gave us.

Thanks for the !

Yup, although Merrill was kinda cute and funny, but then again, my brain is sorta f***ed up after playing DA2
But yes, the elves where far more subtle in both appearance and personality in DAO. Here in the sequel they have become more and more angry at the humans surrounding them in my opinion.

I wanted to choose Merrill for a romance, but I couldn't look passed her insectoid eyes. I'm not quite sure what the developers were thinking when redesigning the character. I don't think the elves have become angrier, per se, but rather it receives more emphasis this time around than the last.

: quote:'I'm not quite sure what the developers were thinking when redesigning the character.': quote:

I have to ask, sorry for being a n00b or an idiot; but what do you mean when you say redesigning the character? Was she in DAO or do you meant the race in general? Just so I understand completely here (English is not my native tongue).
Also do you mean that they are more of importance given that they are away from Ferelden at this point? I do have a dictionary, but I still struggle at times:s

Anyway, the romance part, I did try that part, but it always ends bad, given that I made Hawke go against abominations or bloodmage, anything that was the so called "darkside-of-the-force" was something Merrill go "Yay" for.

Sorry for my stupid questions:S

There are no stupid questions!

Merrill had a minor role as a companion in Dragon Age: origins. Your character had to be of the Dalish Elf origin story, though. A lot of the animosity, or anger, could be sensed during that origin too. What I meant is that the elves are more outspoken, for lack of a better word, in Dragon Age II than in Dragon Age: Origins. You see more of it in the new game than you did in the old game, but the two races have always been at odds with each other.

Awww man, I did a play-through with the Dalish Elf Origin story. I'm starting to get old lol
I cannot remember her there, only the guy whom disappeared in the mirror/gate thingie I'm currently playing the City Elf story. But I'm still too much of a fangirl when it comes to Sten that I get and reaction all the time, so I cannot always concentrate on the game You can see it here; [link] and [link]

I never played through that origin story, so I'm afraid I can't tell you when and where she shows up! All I know is she's friends with the elf who disappears through the mirror, and I believe she's involved in a majority of the quest.

Those are great images! I can see why it's hard to concentrate on other things.

Lol, once I submited the comics, I felt; hmmmm maybe I should have chose another background color >.<
But I kinda ignored that part
Hmmmm maybe I should chose one male elf just for that story lol

The background color seems good to me! It doesn't detract from what's going on and that's what matters most.

Even the greenish/brownish part? Where Sten and Warden stand? Hmmmm Thanks

Yeah. It's an easy method to fill in the forest area behind them. The most I would have done is put another couple trees in there, or at least one to the right of Sten to balance it out. It's meant to be a comical piece, though, and it certainly is that!

Ah I will keep that in mind next time Plus I will be color things in a more simpler way and only use basic brushes to form a tree or two Thanks for the tip and the kind words
