a redraw of this [link]first successful painting. perhaps it is the limited color pallet.
and obviously Danny is dying but still is smirking. cause he rolls that way.
and i suck at blood. though this is technically ectoplasm...>->
edit: the color bothered me. i fixed it. tis saturated now.

He's smirking because he knows he can't die since he's a ghost so he's already dead. If he was a human form than he'd be in trouble.

nah, i'm not sure why's he's smirking, but ghosts can definitely "die" in the Danny Phantom universe. They melt away, become unstable ectoplasm, or turn into something else entirely. if they lose 'themselves', then they are dead. even if it's the traditional heart stopping closure.

Oh, okay I guess I didn't remember that; generally ghosts just get trapped in the Fenton Furnace and are released back into the ghost zone. But ghosts' hearts don't beat so do you mean it's not the heart stopping closure?

when i painted this, the entire thing was on one layer. so i can't go adjust the colors to make the blood/ectoplasm brighter without making the skin look really stupid. :/ that's just my issue.
