Hozjajka mednoj gory), also known as The Malachite Maid, is a legendary creature from Slavic mythology and a Russian fairy tale character, the mountain spirit from the legends of the Ural miners and the Mistress of the Ural Mountains of Russia. Received fame in the collection of tales "Malachite Box" by P. P. Bazhov.The keeper of underground wealth, she is able to turn into a lizard. Very rarely shown to people. Strong and domineering, she herself disposes of those to whom to show underground deposits of natural riches, and to whom is not. Basically, she helps poor and kind people.
