I always wondered what inspired this character. :]

At the time I drew her, I was feeling pretty lonely. I wanted to brighten her up with warm colors to give her the ability to put up an approachable facade, but in the inside, she's truly feeling lonely and unwanted. That was what I was going through at the moment at drew this.
So, there you have it. cx

:/ Some of the best of things are done in while in misery. When I'm upset I draw or write something, Most of the time it lifts my spirits because I only think of a story. I try and pull an Alice so to speak and go to my wonderland.

I guess so. Sometimes, I wish I didn't feel so crappy just to get a drawing out of it, but I guess that's inevitable of an artist.
That's an interesting analogy -- one that definitely works, I presume.

For me it usually start's out that way, but then I reach my happy mood again because I like to come up with light-hearted stories in my head.
Yes, it does.

I understand what you're saying though. I start to fill a little better when I add happy colors in my drawings. You know, just to lighten up my mood. ^^

Thanks a lot. At first, I wasn't quite sure where I wanted to go with her color palette.

Mine, too! Although, I may not actually get one whenever I can afford one. :/
I'm feeling a lot better now, but I do appreciate the virtual cookie. *noms*

I like the colors can't knock them at all and the shading in the eye is NICE. I could crit some anatomy tho if you want. You seem to like my crits. I'm only gonna do it tho if you say ok.

If you used a photo ref for this can I see it? Then I can give the most accurate critique because I can base it on that specific individual. If not then I'm just gonna go based on what traits I think define a bull terrier. Different individuals will exhibit those traits to varying degrees, so I'll just guess as to how much this individual would have exhibited them.

I haven't used a photo ref for this one, so I can't provide that. But, critique away.

Ok. The head seems shallow for a BT. I'd make it deeper. Head depth is the distance from the top of the head to the bottom...I don't know how to explain it >.> There's three dimensions to a head: length, width, and depth. Depth is the dimension that runs up and down. I dunno does this make any sene?
I'd make the chest deeper (make it go down more between the legs) And I'd make the front legs shorter.
Now, when you deepen a chest, and make it go between the elbows, it has a straightening effect on the legs. Right now the paws turn outward. Turn them more inward.

Oh yeah, I totally understand. Now looking at some photos of bull terriers, she is lacking some shape for a typical bull terrier, especially depth-wise. It makes a lot of sense.
I'll make note of it next time for the deeper chest and the shorter legs. I looked up some photos where the bull terrier is facing you, and I can definitely see the difference in regards to build and forelegs.
I appreciate your help endearingly. Thank you so very, very much, dear. c:
