hey, I am having hard time trying to paint without lineart and I was wondering if you could give me an advice or something? I'd really appreciate it Did you use pen tool for this painting? Because when I start putting colors on a new layer, the shapes are not as perfect as they were when there was the lineart... and I always miss some spots and there are tiny white pixels left. I am using the bush tool and I have to be really really REALLY precise and slow in order to make it look good (even though I am using tablet). How did you make your shapes look so perfect and not jiggly? thanks a lot and sorry to bother you with this, I couldn't really find any tutorial to help me.

i rarely use the pen-tool (i am too lazy for it , i always use the lasso tool for the main shapes very dynamic with my whole arm (not only with my Hand) and i dont care if ist not exactly the same shape of my line-sketch ... with this method, the Quality is much better.  then i correct the shapes on some parts with my brush tool.... i hope it will help??? i will make  a new wip Video soon with this kind of colouring

okay so I tried with the lasso tool, but at some point the line goes in a totally wrong direction and I have to do it over and over again... plus I still get white pixels between 2 coloured shapes...I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong and it's killing me anyway I would be very very happy to see a tutorial showing the whole process of putting colors and some lines and stuff. thanks a lot for your time and for being so, so nice

thank you yes i used a selfmade and scanned pastel texture and a big splatter brush in the main-shapes. i think ill record a wip Video when i paint a character like this
