006: Shikamaru the Mage

Homg, it's been a while. I'm a bit unhappy with this cause Shikamaru turned out drastically taller than the rest of the series and I had a hard time noticing until it was too late :'D (I blame it on his layered clothing ToT:; ) The other will come soon, whenever I feel like doing more chibis that is. Until then the sketches of Ino, Haku and Temari would just rot :'D

Character Description:
Shikamaru was originally the son of a famed Pirate King who terrorized the continent. Upon the day the Pirates made peace with the King of Konoha, the great sage Sarutobi found extraordinary potential for greatness in the barbarian's son, and thus brought him into Konoha to study under his son Sarutobi Asuma in the ways of magic and tactical warfare. He was also recognized by the former student of the great sage, the current high priestess of the Church of Saint Elemine and legendary Valkyrie, Tsunade, and was considered to be the next advisor to Itachi, the heir to the throne, despite being rather young. Despite his fame however, Shikamaru has always been somewhat of an eyesore to the higher council members due to his incredible laziness, care-free attitude and rather messy attire.
When Itachi destroyed the monarchy and kidnapped Sarutobi however, Shikamaru refused to follow him and was locked away with his childhood friends Ino the Shaman and Chouji the Knight. They are rescued by the thief Naruto and his Lord Sasuke and Shikamaru becomes their tactician in hopes of saving the old sage and to protect the rest of Konoha.

Shikamaru is a spell casting Mage unit. While his magic is effective against the Monks, it becomes significantly weakers against the Shamans.
