Description This has been down in my basement for a couple of years now, I Started it for a GW in store promo contest, but ran out of time and it's been sitting around with the rest of my Slaneesh models ever since. When I saw Starship Modeler's "Pimp my Ride" [link] contest, I figured here was one I could get in on...

In the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the Space Marines of the Emperor's Children Legion are devoted slaves to Slaneesh, the Chaos God of pleasures. Also known as "Noise Marines" the followers of Slaneesh are driven to greater and greater levels of sensory excess, finding pleasure only in the excesses of discordant noise, color and vile acts.

Because of Games Workshop's tournament rules, which require that all models used by GW models, all the parts come from their various miniature lines. The tank is a Mk 1 Rhino, stretched a quarter inch in the main hull, to accommodate the upper deck detail. Reinforcing bands were added to the track units and front hull with plastic strip, and a second layer of track was added to detail the existing tracks.

The side and front speakers were made from hatches from other kits, and decorated with a on the front Chaos Standard top, and resin skulls from Armorcast on the sides to make "Warp Amp" speakers. The usual exhausts on the side of the Rhino were replaced with parts from Battlefleet Gothic spaceships, and topped off with gargoyles. Dameonette familiars were added to enhance the side rails.

The front cupola is from an Armageddon Sentinel. The back deck and slave girls are from a Dark Eldar Raider. The rear missile launcher is made from a Dark Elf Repeater Bolt Thrower. In the rear hatch a Chaos Space Marine, with a simple hand swap a horn from a Fantasy Chaos Warrior, and a Combat Drug backpack added to the flavor. The rear hatch was replaced with one from a Vindicator tank, and detailed with Chaos armor plates. As a final touch, various spiky bits and other gubbins were added.

The model was given a coat of black primer and base-coat, and then dry-brushed with Interference Purple, Green and Blue, the trim, then picked out in metallic brass and gold. while the slave girls, and other details were painted normally, in a 2-3 tone dry-brushing technique.

Just one look at it and I thought to myself, Slaanesh.

And by the looks of things I may be right.

Really like what you've done here.
