You're welcome - I've been using C4D R11.5 for a while now and only just upgraded to R12 last week...
I have only just started using the Attraction and Emitter tools... just trying to use them my own way is the difficult bit!

This is just one frame that i rendered, there are 2 emitters emiting particles that fall of and bounce, modynamics + rigit body, its al gravity and a lot of tweaking.

I think lessening the contrast on the Ambient Occlusion would be beneficial...
Or you could also just use color correction, and remove some of the low end, to give it a more soft look.
