This is just stooped in irony. Thanks for the feature, though.

I have had times where I am envious of "discovered" artists, to be sure... but it's the same as envying one of the "popular" crowd at school -pointless.
In the end those who are too commonly loved and accepted by the mainstream become isolated in a swarm of superficial fucks. They must then either pretend to care about each and every one of their followers, in effect becoming superficial themselves... or they must remain aloof from it all and pretend their audience doesn't exist for the sake of retaining some bit of authenticity in their art, or in who they are.
Very few people do well with fame. Interesting that so many people crave it.
There is a saying "if you can count the number of good friends on one hand... then you are very lucky" ...I think this applies to watchers, quality feedback, etc. as well.

I cannot argue with that. And now I just feel stupid. Thanks for putting it straight for me. Guess I was just having a moment of weakness.

Yes, yes it is. I watch the discovery ID channel a lot which is basically all about murder and people do kill others because they envy them. I will definatly see you there, but you really shouldn't envy other people, you have such a way with words that I don't see how you could envy anyone. No one can take that away from you. Popularity comes and goes while talent and skill do not unless you chose to stop. :3

You're saying this when you have 10,000 pageviews xD

Pageviews are nothing but an arbitrary number. They mean nothing except for how many times somebody has been directed or redirected to my page. And that is worth nothing. A fave on my work, or a comment, that's what's worth something. Feedback and critical analysis is what matters, not how many times I've been looked at.

And that is perfectly okay... These things take a long time, as I'm finding out. I figure if we just keep trying, somebody will notice eventually, right? Don't give up hope.

Exactly. I'm always asking myself the question "What can I do that is different and unique?" Unfortunately, I can never think of anything...
