Description
Artist's Training Grounds Alumni Group - Week 25 - A Pony Inspired by a Book!

Inspired by H.G. Wells The Time Machine, Pinkie Pie continues to show off her bizarre and incredible technological aptitude to devise a travel device that will enable her to travel to any party in any era, and throw down. However, another passerby sees this strange contraption, and is immediately horrified by the implications of Pinkie Pie: Time Partier

Also, I have newfound respect for whoever made the incredibly complex Pinkie Pie helicopter from Griffon the Brush Off. The Time machine is designed as a mix of the classical movie Time Machine design, incorporating the candy theme of Pinkie's helicopter. I spent way more time on that then I should have. Also, I love the Doctor's expression, I wanted to throw a quick 'broken' look into his eyes, so I went with the one big eye, one small eye, and I think it came out great.

My first attempt to capture his thoughts was a big yellow exclamation point, not thought bubble. But he looked like a quest giver. So, red (for danger!) and a thought bubble to clear that up.

She should have a storage compartment for all the period-specific pieces.

Sagan's Cosmos used the prop in one episode, though the design was originally taken from the 1960 George Pal film "The Time Machine", based on the H.G. Wells book of the same name.

I saw it on Phineus and Ferb... except it didn't look like it was made out of candy. And it needed to be plugged into a wall to work.
