Description I recently saw the 2006 version of Jane Eyre. I had only seen the 1996 one and rather fancied it...but i liked this one just as much, but I suppose, for different reasons.

This was my favorite scene. the kiss is funny though...because it's like he goes right in for it and she's not as sure lol she like kisses him on the side of his mouth. hahaha.

Yeah, mistake...the quote is Jane's, but in the drawing Rochester is speaking. oops.

oh and i felt jane's pain while trying to get this drawing scanned...well, not so much...perhaps if jane had major issues with scanner wires but i suppose that was one less thing she had to worry about. sooo i was going NUTS for the usb wire that connects the scanner to the computer...at first i thought i found it but it didn't plug in right so i went absolutely looney looking for it. i was getting all pissed and frustrated when it finally dawned on me...i had the right wire from the start...i was just trying to connect it to the wrong part of the scanner. i'm a frickin moron.

very nice! this is one of my favorite scenes/quotes from the book, and any of the movies. I've seen the 1970 version (BAD they were way too old), the 1996 version (pretty good, though it was weird that Rochester was a red head), the 2006 version (Good! I love all the details in it), and the 2011 version (Good! the actors were amazing). I like this scene best in the 2006 version.

I'm now on Chapter 25 of Jane Eyre and when I remembered this scene in Chapter 23 where they confess their love for one another, I was like, "Finally! It took 23 freakin' chapters for them to finally confess!" XD

Hello! I want to change my username as well - incidentally it's a reference to Inuyasha too xD

I like your style here - it's a simple realism that comes through even through the lineart (like Western comic books, only their bodies are the right size)

Have you seen the 2011 version? It is fantastic. It is beautiful and powerful on its own, and from what I read of the book, it's very faithful.

Wow! This is a wonderful drawing, and you did a great job! This is one of my FAVORITE lines from the novel; very well done!

I love the 2006 adaptation; it's the standard I use for other adaptations.

This is a fantastic drawing! I really like the simplicity of it and also the way you've left the stetch lines in, seems to create a good flow within the piece.

I love that adaptation of Jane Eyre- I think Toby Stephens portrays Rochesters character brilliantly

You've really captured the big confrontation scene. I reguard it as "confrontation" because the second these two met I was screaming at the novel to hurry up and have them fall passionatly in love already. Rochester is such a tease too.
BTW beautiful line art. Their clothes and hair look amazing.

wow. That's a really good drawing, Rochester reminds me of Josh . That was one hell of a tough novel. I like her sister's book more, lol, but that's just me. Did you read Wuthering Heights?

froban. lol. agreed there.
Wuthering Heights is basically a tragic love story, between two people with incompatible social status (lol of course), and as she gets married to another man, they have to keep surviving together. There are juts so many characters and they're all interrelated. It's really, really good, I loved it. If you liked Eyre, you should definetly like W.H.
Heatchliffe's my favorite male character Him and Darcy, of course ^^
