Description Ok here is my first and last Kimono drawing

An art trade I did with she drew me a kick ass Cait-Sith riding the Red XIII train!

And she wanted to see my take on Sango in a summer Kimono...so here it is!

I did 2 versions of this and I'll upload the other coloured one shortly.

I have to agree with you there, Sango is one of my faves. I enjoy the strong female types and not the 'Oh save me, I'm so helpless' characters that seem to float around way to much in certain Anime.

Damsels in distress make me want to hurt them more.
Call it the meanie in me, but every time Kagome needs
to be carried off into the twilight, while Kikyou could
straight up kick ass, it makes me just resent her.
Damned weakling!

Yes, as much as I'm die-hard Kag/Inu, it grinds my gears when she is suddenly thrown into peril and simply has to be rescued. Plus the way she dances around her feelings. Kikyou just comes right out and takes what she wants...others need to follow her lead, to a certain extent anyway >_>

Wow, this is gorgeous! I love the pattern on the kimono, and I think the darker colors suit Sango better. This is definitely going into the 'faves' folder!!

Yeah, I'm swaying more towards the darker version now that I see them side by side.

OMFG, this looks so AWESOME. You went above and beyond with this, seriously. I don't know what to pick out to compliment because it all looks so lovely: the pose, the pattern on the kimono, her face and hair. And I love how her leg is showing through-I have a thing for her legs.

I can't decide which version I like the best either because I like the rich colours on this one, but I like how the other one "contrasts". I will just have to fave them both then!

Man, I wish I could put this as a poster on my wall, seriously.

Even though this took me waaaay longer than I had anticipated, I had so much fun drawing it but the pattern and the tie in the middle of the Kimono just gave me brain pain after hours of looking at the screen trying to get it all looking right and in proportion

You could always download it if you really wanted, it's a pretty big file. Then you could print it out or something.

That was a good idea to download it...the sort of really simple idea that wouldn't occur to me. That WAS a big file. In that really big size, her eyes look neat. All people should download it for that.

Yeah, it was a fun trade. We really should do it again some time!
