Last year I got a similar sort of tattoo
near the scars on my
on my chest near a
scar from a knife-wound
from a bad incident at
work last year.
I got the symbol for
fearlessness.
In retrospect, I believe
perhaps "utter recklessness" would be
a better symbol for me.
Did you draw the
calligraphy for the
Japanese script?

No, I don't do calligraphy and don't read Japanese/Chinese so I had it done by someone else. I really love my ink, though.
