I like it, but in these politically correct times you might find the title draws some flak! Β

what does it mean?

AlberichPotter In reply to InspirationsLadyJana [2019-03-31 07:10:41 +0000 UTC]

It's a derogatory English term for people of dark skin, probably from an abbreviation of golliwog, but in Britain primarily aimed at those for those with brown skin of Middle East, Near East, North African and Indian subcontinental origin. Those of negro origins had a separate term of abuse with which you are probably more familiar because of its common usage in North America film and television and amazingly now in widespread use by those very black people against who it was once directed.

I'm not surprised you were not aware of it and I wouldn't worry too much about your title, but thought I ought to point it because you know how sensitive some people are!

Thank you very much for the very valuable hint. I had no Idea. My titles rarely have any meaning in my language. They are thought-out words like this one too. Because I have no idea how to otherwise name abstract pictures. In the sense maybe: blue meets gray or something ... Oh no. I will change the title without delay and I hope I can remember that this is a shot word of the worst kind.
Thanks again, Derek !!
