Eating their way-through the green brain vegetationMaeve exchanged her silver thorns and blue roses in favor of a gown she borrowed from a Wood Witch of the Garpaverd Coven, one of the many covens found on her home world Venefica. Just set the right atmosphere as she uses her chaos magic to summon the fearsome carnivorous Triffids . Even though about every single part of her the dress can kill a person and is made of trees that are found on Venefica. The 1st is the bark of the Venena Corium, it's a especially potent poison when dried and made into a powder. The 2nd the Carnifex Maleficusis, a favorite of the Venefican witches as about everything from the tree is poisonous including the fungi that grows on it. However strangely enough each coven favors a certain part of the tree for their potions and spells, Maeve's coven uses the roots.

So this is my entry for 2nd round of the Miss-Villain Contest and also the first and last time I will be drawing triffids. That said I loved this round and will probably make it a series for my other antagonists considering I ended up with a nine more sketches of plant/fungi (inspired) outfits. I live a five minute walk from a (very) small forest, and because of that I was able to take some photograph some mushrooms and add them to the dress. Same applies to the lots of trees in the background. Mainly cause I really wanted to draw Maeve in a fungus inspired dress but color wise I just couldn't work it out with her pale color palette (and I refused to use certainly colors like the red and white of the Fly Agaric as that is so not Maeve), so went with a District 7 Tree Dress. That said I'm happy with the overall result of this entry.
