I like Vixen's design and she definitely looks better with "normal" hair instead of that Wolverine-style haircut she sported for a long time.Β Great pic though my preferred version of her is the one shown in JLU.Β But I'm glad you got her costume right.Β I just don't care for her new52 outfit.Β It's just too complicated and shows DC and Marvel's current "spandex costumes are bad" attitude.

Me too.Β It's tragic because when the Big 2 decided to start experimenting with costumes and designs, I was really happy but after a few years of these "realistic" and "practical" costumes becoming the norm, I've realized most of them aren't that good.Β There was a really interesting scene in Sam Wilson: Captain America #4 where Diamondback (who has a very tight spandex outfit) stated that while she was happy with the new heroines like Janeway Thor and Carol Danver's being a major name in the cape scene, she was now considered a joke (i.e. skank) because she still wore tight spandex because her fighting style relied on speed and mobility and spandex was best for that.Β The whole scene felt like a commentary on modern art design and shaming classic costumes for heroines.

Indeed. That's one reason I love Nick Spencer writing is because you can really tell I unironically appreciates the comics made in the 80s and 90s and knows not all of them were awful and that everything Disney's been forcing upon Marvel hasn't always been the best.
It's sad because I was really hoping we'd eventually get a Serpent Society movie where Cap and Diamondback hook up.Β She was his main girl for over a decade before Dan Jurgens brought Sharon Carter back and Ed Brubaker made her "officially" Cap's girl.Β Diamondback was completely different from Sharon.Β Rachel was dirty and proud of it.Β She once was a stripper before being trained to be a total badass with knives.Β She had tons of fun tempting Cap into being dirty but was still a good person like him.
This is one of the reasons I honestly don't want the X movie rights to revert back to Marvel.Β I just can't see Disney approving the "naughtier" aspects of the comic like the Logan/Jean/Scott triangle, Rogue's intense frustration wanting physical contact, or Wolverine's berserker rages.Β At best, we'd probably get a watered down version of X-Men Evolution.Β You KNOW the Deadpool movie FOX released would never have seen the light of day under Disney's family friendly mindset.
