This isn't the first time Nobita got swapped around. Doreamon once put him and Shizuka in a machine that swapped their heads. Shizuka mysteriously ran away(came back later) and other friends of his made demands for him to swap their favorite parts of her with them. I wish there was still a link to show you the whole comic story

There were also several episodes of the anime. In the most recent reboot, there are at least two episodes: "The tale of the substitution rope" and "the invasion of the body swapper" that is the episode you were talking about.
Doraemon is a very popular anime here in Italy, being aired since the 60s, along with "Maya the bee", "Heidi", "Sailor moon" and many others
