Thanks! I've also done a few other pieces featuring many of the characters from Will Eisner's comics. ^^ you can check them out on my page if you like.

You have a stunning gallery here, plus an excellent art style. Reminds me very much of a combination of R Crumb, Kevin Eastman and some of the early Mad magazine artists of the early 50s.

Not a bad attempt with watercoloring here. I should get back into watercoloring soon(what type of watercoloring did you use for this? I like it how it looks dark). Denny and Ebony do look great here as well. I like the fact that you didn't make Ebony the typical 'blackface' character here like he is in the comics, that was my only issue with the original Spirit comics.

Thanks. I really tried hard to maintain Will Eisner's Style as well as my own. I actually did this back when I was on a Spirit kick last year also. I try to avoid making Ebony look like his counterparts without coming off as stereotypical racist since people are really sensitive about anything nowadays to be honest. It's actually ironic considering that Ebony is considered to be one of the first black characters in comics to develop a lot more personality and skills in science, criminal catching, and even athletic skills at that. Eisner also did introduce a another black detective character that maintain less of a stereotypical look and drawl in his comics. But, the character only appeared in two to four stories.
