Anyone who has been in the Byward Market in Ottawa has probably seen this guy. He is a young artist who spends his days reproducing pictures in chalk on the sidewalk in front of the store called Candy Mountain. He is truly talented and his work is absolutely phenomenal, just see for yourself. There is a stainless steel bowl near him in which people put money, everytime you put something in, he flashes you a great big thank you smile. Anyone who's ever in Ottawa should drop by the market and support him!Related content

that's amazing! I'm surprised he can do that, I know in New Zealand, chalking public property is technically graffiti and vandalism, I got snapped for it once

I've seen this guy many times. He is awesome!
I even saw this piece after it was done. I always love seeing the art and giving some money to help support him.

Wow, It must take guts to put your hands on that pavement. But, the artwork is amazing, I doubt I will ever get to see it live tho

Well, I believe it varies, but some pieces I've seen him work on for a few days, he would cover it up during the night with clear plastic... I've yet to talk to him but I'll definitely have to get to that, let him know how much he is admired

Wow this is simply and completely moviing. for an artist to be able to recreate what i believe to be a devinci piece in chalk is simply umbelievably moving and inspring I don't know if i'm the first to tell you this or not but Thank you for capturing a true artist at work ....... Thank You
