well i searched up kalam in google translate, but the closest thing that came to it was "kala", which means "split" in Somalian. when I put the whole name down, it asks me if i wanted arabic, and that translation went to "every mother", which sounds off. so I decided I better stick with "split" then.

Now I may be wrong, especially since there are more pages up that I haven't read yet, but I don't think "Kalam" is Sans. Gaster mentioned 5 manufactured SOULs. We know 2 of them are Sans and Papyrus. I think Kalam is one of the unnamed 3.

Maybe Sans wasn't Sans's original name. Maybe Kalam was his real name and Sans is just a nickname (since it is his font). Gaster's probably doing the parent thingy where they call their child by their real name when they mean business.

I love this theory. I personally love the idea that Comic is his first name which his parents used when they were being serious to him haha but Kalam sounds like one of the other artificial souls too.
