Thank you so much. I'll be redesigning the picture very soon to give it a better, more fresh, look.

The lighting is nice. The background is not, you need to hold your camera still or put it on something to do that for you, like a pile of books or a tripod.
I can understand your symbolism and why you'd want to upload something like this, but it's not a very nice picture at all.
Is there nothing around you which you could use to make it more interesting?
Apologies if you think I'm rude, but I'm astounded by the amount of these terrible pictures submitted to deviantart.
One thing I'd suggest you learning is some colour theory. It looks awful to have all of the complimentary colours next to each other in this picture.
Did you not have a white background (a sheet) you could put this on?
A cybershot may be a point and click, but you can still do nice things with it.

Ah, I never really think of that when I'm snapping photos. I just do, what you said previously, point and click with it. I was trying something new and that was using rainbows, something I rarely use in my photos, other than if I decide to snap a nature shot or something.
If it helps, this was taken in my bedroom and I have tannish sheets with red lines in it, plus a predominately pink comforter I use for a blanket.
Please do keep in mind I'm experimenting with photography, so I'm a newbie when it comes to making really stellar photos.
I do take your comments with a lot of consideration, so thank you for them. If you would like, I'd be more than open to tips on how to make pictures really stand out.

Point and click, camera phone and DSLR are the main sorts of cameras. They're quite descriptive though, aren't they?
It's hardly original at all, but this picture would look much better with the macro function on.
I'd suggest not being so precious about placing everything. Perhaps get a few white pieces of paper to put all of this on. Focus on the bright rainbow colours of all. I've got to say the bands aren't very colourful, so perhaps putting them in some sort of pile at the back of the photo?
Then you drape the rainbow chain over it, that has quite nice colours.
I'd suggest focusing more on the FMA and lesbian necklaces. If you try to place the fma necklace over the middle of the lady symbols, then you could take that as a nice ID photo. As long as you can manage to focus in on them quite well.
Looking up the specs of your camera, it can focus in to about 2inches.
So rest your camera on some books and drape your jewellry around a nice blank background and it'll stand out more at very least.
I'd suggest perhaps joining photohunt every now and then?

I believe so, yes.
I do have the macro function on, and the setting I was using with it was Twilight Portrait, since my room can be dark, even when it's sunny outside.
Hmm... I'll try that. A friend suggested using a black shirt for it, so would that also help, or no? However, I'll find some computer paper and put it underneath on my carpet.
Ooh, never thought about it like that. Thank you so much for the suggestion, and I'll definitely work on this tomorrow.
Will do. Thank you again.
Photohunt?
Thank you. I can't thank you enough for the tips.

A black shirt could work, but wouldn't reflect light as easily. I'd suggest sticking with white.

Okay. I'll try white, take it in a different way, and then, if you don't mind, note you with the results?
It really worked! I feel like I can make better photos now.
