I just used some clone stamping and other photoshop techniques to widen it.

Have you tried Terragen 2? they were supposed to have put vegetation in the program.

Nope, never tried Terragen 2. The renders I've seen out of it look pretty good though. And I think it can be used in conjunction with Vue.
