Absolutely beautiful shot, the details on it are stunning. Only critique in my opinion and it's only a small one is the wing top left isn't in focus yet most of the others are (did you mean to do this?) and my eyes are automatically drawn to the bright light reflection on the wing which lets down this image as i would prefer to be straight drawn to the centre where all the details are. Like the fact you have focused mainly on the head and body rather than getting the whole of it.

hi crissie, thank you for your kind words. i am glad you like the shot.
to get the right focus of such a shot, with moving insects (even they are still slow in the morning, like this one , is always a compromise. Also the grass is moving. i don`t use any flashlight because i prefer more the natural colours, but that means
a shot with a qite open lens to get short shuttertime enough to freeze the situation.
but that gives a nice bouque and fresh colours. so always an experiment
