This wallpaper is based off of Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar. Esther's heartbeat is a reminder that she is alive; she is not the one in the coffin during the last chapters of the book. It also represents the body's desire to live despite Esther's attempts to do otherwise.

If you haven't read this book, you really should. I made this wallpaper because I really connected with the novel and I think, every once in a while, we need to remember that we are still alive.
