Description This was the final piece that I did for the Dreams and Fears show - took me a while to get a photo of it. Funny story behind it. . . at least, I think it's funny now. I'd been working on it off and on for about a week, and it wasn't pleasing me. I was almost at the point where I was going to re-prime the canvas and start again, when. . . my delightful cat, decided that the water jar (with three brushes in it), looked like it might be fun to knock over. She did, and then ran - with me howling and chasing her (it landed on pale carpet - as I tend to temp fate when I paint). As I rounded the couch for the second time, I kicked the canvas over on it's side. . . and made the startling realization that the piece was done - it just needed a different perspective. Kitty got treats, and the mess was cleaned up.
18"x36" canvas
medium: acrylic paint - freehand lines No airbrush, compass or ruler was tortured during the production of this piece.
The original painting is for sale atm, but is currently locked into a show until the end of the month.

In memory of the three sable brushes that met their end during it's production.

Very nice, I can't believe you didn't use a ruler or anything! It's amazing

(The only thing my cat ever did for my artwork was walk on my nice white paper with muddy paws )

Thank you. Yes, cats and paper. . . must go back to ancient Egypt, and papyrus, and some ancient curse against scribes and artists that use paper.

I thought your story would be that the cat knocked the paint onto the work which gave you inspiration to finish.

Cat getting treats and what you described is much nicer.

It was painted entirely with metallic hues - which the photo doesn't really pick up.
