Why are there so many artwork on 001, but very little on the klaxosaurs themselves

I really find it senseless how they are called the "KlaxoSAURS" yet half of them don't even resemble dinosaurs.

We also get units in the show like a Giant Worm with a head on both ends and an electric razor-looking front end, an army of spider-like things, and a gigantic hand. How are those at all Dinosaur-like?
