Do you have any examples so I can know how it should look? TTwTT I just tried to shade it a different way and it kinda ended up looking like scales...Oops

i can't find a good example unfortunately : ( google has failed me
but i guess maybe...................... don't shade it as if the tail was made in streaks?? how do i wo rd it

they're usually a lil fluffy if they're like fox tails/the tail you drew in this picture; basically the fur on the tail looks too sleek o

But I might still shade this way in the future sometimes because I personally like how it looks, but I'll also try to be more realistic too ;v; It'll take a lot of practice to get the hang of it, I'll be honest and say I tried after reading your comment...only to go back and delete it and go a generic shading route because I didn't think it looked good at all due to my lack of practice and knowledge
