It is believed that Prophet Shu’ayb, known in Biblical literature as Jethro, one of only four Arab prophets mentioned by name in the Quran once lived here. (for a short time)
Many scholars believe that Shu’ayb was the elderly man who offered Moses safety, security and the hand of one of his daughters in marriage.
