Description The Suffolk Punch, also historically known as the Suffolk Horse or Suffolk Sorrel, is an English breed of draught horse. The breed takes the first part of its name from the county of Suffolk in East Anglia, and the name "Punch" from its solid appearance and strength. It is a heavy draught horse which is always chestnut in colour, although the colour is traditionally spelled "chesnut" by the breed registries.

We had a fellow drive through town with a team of three of these awesome horses. They were pulling a huge load with no effort at all. A truly magnificent breed!! (And a great photo!)

I love horses and the heavy draft breeds have a certain charm. This image is lovely...but I'd love to see a picture of the entire horse. This isn't a criticism...just a comment regarding this particular breed.

This head shot is lovely in profile and a nice relief away from the popular head shot.

Thanks - sure I`ve got one of the entire horse tucked away somewhere if not I`m due back there next week so I`ll see if they`ll co-operate

Thanks I was trying to get away from the usual horse head shot, glad you liked it
