Description Frogs have a reputation for leaping that is well deserved. Launched by their long legs, many frogs can leap up to twenty times their body length. (That would be about a 100-foot jump for you or me!) The longest frog jump on record was made by a frog named Santjie at a frog derby held in South Africa. Santjie bested the competition with a jump of 33 feet 5.5 inches.


Yes couldn`t find a good frog quote so went for interesting fact instead

BTW The frog is called Maurice (mad but I`ve named many and even look for them) - doesn`t look much happier then the first time I took his picture [link] way back in May!

Nice pose there. I'm impressed that you can tell your frogs apart. Maurice must have very distinctive markings or you just have a gift for froggy faces
I think it's fun too how every picture from you is like a mini history/fact lesson or something.

Strangely I can recognise and have named three at this pond - Maurice, Bernard is more brown and sadly Fred got mauled by a cat the other week Probably will name a few more if they become regulars too

Have been asleep a LOT in the past couple of months!
I haven`t had my laptop on - just too tired so don`t apologise Keep falling asleep mid-comment, spent three hours between faving and commenting - but hopefully will make it through to be quaddles and QR by weekend... driving Martin crazy (well not as mad as us of course ) Even have a new camera and just been sitting there whilst I snooze for nearly a fortnight Don`t think working an extra day was such a good idea after all, eh? Still need the cash... buy things like new cameras Extra day does mean more art gets done - Mondays are at least quiet

A centurian eh, not many of them around here will have to use burly Viking instead
