I really don't know what to say about this... The contrast between the blue eyes and the red background is just estonishing. His expression really makes you wonder what he could be dreaming about. Great job!!

(Just wondering, is that his real eye colour or is he wearing contacts?)

I really enjoy the framing, colors and the texture of the background.
Regarding the lightning, I would have tried to remove the shadow below his nose (with a reflector for instance)

i like he Vivid Colors they attracted my attention in teh thumbnail already. nice, kind of narural portrait, the clarity gives it an honest feel. i like that. the skin seems just a bit pinkish to me.

can it get any better? I really like the red/blue colorcontrasts here Pedro. Such a very nice portrait...
I know the composition is classic, and my taste is questionable, but I'd like him to look into the camera. Those eyes makes for a 'killer' contact with the viewer..

about the eyes... I'd say you're right. it would balance more, because this way the focus pretty much goes for the wall; it would be a killer if he was looking straight to the camera, to grasp the people's attention...

I'll keep posting some more of this series I've done there, so hopefully some will be good as well...

What an effective portrait. The eyes are beautiful and piercing, which probably goes without saying. I really love the use of negative space, and that gorgoeus colour on the wall. What better to compliment the blueness of those eyes. His expression is interesting as well. It's almost apprehensive, like he had a fight going in his head about wanting to be in the photograph. Brilliant this is.

That is indeed, one of my favourite films ever, it's magical, a sweet tale, and I love pictures like that, makes you feel good for a while, and you forget the bad things in life, as Guido makes his baby forget the suffering in the nazi camp... it looks like it with maybe a light coming from the ground in the back.
intresting shot.

I used a flash, as fill, facing up and bounced on a bristol board attached with elastics (very high-tech), and then I used a dark red wall with lighting from bottom (or was it top, or both? can't remember exactly) as the background.
